IIT-KEC Mobile App Challenge The IIT-KEC October Mobile App Challenge was a smashing success. Six IIT students worked with Phil Leslie of ProOnGo, Nikhil Mandrekar of the Knapp Center and Val Scarlata of the Rice Campus to create the IIT Navigator App that allows visitors to the IIT Main Campus to use their iPhone to locate nearby buildings without having to ask directions from strangers. | YouNoodle Group for IIT Startups The IIT-KEC YouNoodle platform was recently launched by the center to provide IIT students, faculty and staff an interactive community where they can host their startup and recruit team members. |


Igor Stamenkovic, PhD candidate at IIT’s Grainger Foundation Labs, bested 90 applicants from as far away as Sweden and Hong Kong to lead his startup company, MagDrive LLC, into a second-place overall finish at the University of San Francisco International Business Plan Competition on March 6, 2009.
