eMotion Wins Top Prize at Northwestern Idol Competition

The Illinois Institute of Technology-Knapp Entrepreneurship Center client eMotion has won first place at the Northwestern Idol competition on Friday, November 15th. The prize, given through the iventures10 program, is valued at $25,000. Founders Avelo Roy and Ed Suda also took home the $1,500 audience’s favorite award.

Knapp Center Client eMotion performs well in Fresno

eMotion, a Knapp Center client, recently placed within the top three after competing in the final round of Fresno’s Start It Up Competition. They were competing against nine other finalists selected from over 100 entries.
According to co-founder Avelo Roy, most of their competitors were already generating revenue, and the winning company had already broke even. Avelo and his partner Ed Suda recieved three certificates from the California Legislature and State Senate congradulating their performance in the competition. The city of Fresno has also offered considerable investment provided that eMotion is relocated to the area. Read more…
